Phil and I stopped to read the sign about half dome here in Yosemite and the native stories about it make a lot of sense. See Tissiak got into a tif with her husband, had a tissy fit and threw her acorn basket because he was going to hit her. Because of their misdeeds they were turned to stone. That is why they call half dome Ahwahneechee or "I wanna hit you."
